The kybun trial shoe Silvaplana Black is produced in our own production facility in Montebelluna near Venice, Italy. We manufacture the Swiss air-cushion shoe and its elastic springy sole largely by hand, using a process that includes up to 40 different steps by a dedicated workforce of skilled shoemakers and kybun's Swiss high-tech sole robot. Both production facilities (Switzerland an northern Italy) follow the exact same manufacturing processes.
Nimbus sole - Your mini-trampoline
The kybun trial shoe Silvaplana Black has a Nimbus sole and therefore a higher Rebound-Effect. The Nimbus sole is the kybun standard sole since 2016. This type of sole offers maximum effect as well as the ultimate in training performance and absorption. The foot pressure is evenly distributed and the power supply is optimised. The elastic and springy material compensates poor postures and misalignments by stretching the posterior muscle chain with each step and the full-length sole profile with larger contact area to the ground ensures optimal grip on any surface.
Foot climate system
The airy honeycomb structure of the kybun shoe creates an air-cushion between your foot and the ground. Every step pumps a fifth of the air volume into the foot space to create a comfortable shoe climate.

I ordered the kybun trial shoe "Silvaplana Black" for my 86-year-old dad (that's Robert W.) and he has literally not worn any other pair of shoes since these arrived 4 weeks ago! Due to the pandemic his daily trips outdoors rapidly dwindled to only a once weekly visit to the supermarket. As a result, he seemed to have not only lost confidence in getting out and about again for pleasure, but the lack of usual exercise by way of his regular day trips and holidays meant that he had lost some physical strength in his legs and he felt his balance had taken a negative turn too. Two months ago, I heard about kybun shoes by way of a reportage which featured a 94-year-old man whose life had been turned around with his purchase of a pair of kybun shoes. Similar to my dad, he said that he had always enjoyed his daily walks, but felt that he was struggling physically as the years went by and hated the thought of one day being totally housebound. I don't remember how he found out about kybun shoes, but said he'd never buy any other shoe from then on. I told my dad the story and he immediately asked me to order a pair for him and, as I said at the start, he hasn't worn any of his other shoes since the kybun parcel arrived. He said he feels like he's gently bouncing along on soft clouds! His sense of balance has improved and he has already gained the confidence to take a train trip alone (Glasgow to Manchester and back) - something that he wouldn't have thought twice about doing prior to the pandemic, but was a daunting thought now in 2021 - at least until he slipped his feet into his new kybun shoes. I moved countries and recently opened the box. Shoes fit pretty well and aee comfortable but there are no insoles and I needed to purchase my own which do not seem to be adequate
