comfort and bounce

A perfect fit and comfortable because of the excellent shape. The smooth sole, however, renders them liable to slip on gravel. The cushioning is great but if the pavement slopes just a little you get the sense of the heel going over slightly. I have no hesitation about recommending them for walking in town.

No pain

No pain except to my wallet - a bit like walking on an air bed but overall..... excellent

For towns only

I enjoy wearing these on the flat in towns. They are extremely comfortable and have a delightful springy feel. I now don't notice I'm wearing and on one occasion thought for a second that I'd gone out in my slippers. However, they are no good to me 'off-road' because they have no defined footbed and my feet slip around alarmingly if I walk along any gentle slope. As for rough ground, like a footpath leaving a town or village, I am sometimes in danger of turning my ankle. My toes are near the end of the shoes so I know that I am wearing the correct size.
