A stadium called kybunpark

The kybunpark is the home of St. Gallen football club who play in the highest professional league in Switzerland and is located in the east of Switzerland close to the German and Austrian borders.

The main reason behind this association is the long-standing working relationship between kybun and FC St.Gallen.  For over 10 years the football club has been benefiting from the kybun mat and treadmill products for training, regeneration and rehabilitation purposes.  In 2016 kybun agreed to a 10-year sponsorship deal to take over the naming rights of the stadium and has since further intensified the working relationship with players and backroom physio staff.  Now the players have a customised kybun shoe which they wear on match days as part of their pre-match preparation.

Some people particularly sports fans may remember St. Gallen from famous victories against English football clubs Chelsea and Swansea (2000 and 2013 respectively). In 2000 after winning their domestic league title for the first time in almost 100 years, St. Gallen was drawn against the might of Chelsea Football Club in a classic David and Goliath battle. St. Gallen came out winners over 2 legs, progressing to the 3rd round of the Champions League qualification.  In 2013 they beat high flying Swansea at home but on this occasion failed to progress from the European League group stage.
